Can I get a witness...

Today I served as a witness at my brother in laws civil ceremony. It was a great experience although the morning started out with a little wardrobe issues for me!  I can never pick an outfit and stick to it. Anyway back to the ceremony...waiting in City Hall watching all the couples apply for their marriage licenses was interesting. Everyone was from all different walks of life but they all had the same thing in common, they were there to begin a new life, to make the decision to spend the rest of their life with someone.  I was also happy to see quite a few minority couples. Love is beautiful but Black love just hits close to home for me for obvious reasons.  The ceremony was very nice and intimate, they giggled their way through it as their two older sons watched in awe.  Stay tuned...
